Fear of leaving the organization…One of the utmost fears among Jehovah’s Witnesses, is that of leaving the organization. Mainly, this is due to the radical changes, that will occur in their lives, affecting their mental, and social well-being. Not only does the Witness suffer extreme guilt, and shame, but may also experience suicidal feelings, at the thought of losing all of their Jehovah’s Witness family and friends. Because once they leave the organization, ALL of their associates will begin the process of shunning. The Jehovah’s Witness struggles with the notion, that during their absence 0.from the religion, Armageddon may come, leaving them with little to no hope for salvation. The witness believes, they will have nowhere to go, and will live the rest of their lives, miserable and lonely.
