From a young age, we were conditioned to have profound respect for those in authority within the Watchtower organization. However, this respect often transformed into fear due to the consequences we faced if we did not conform to everything they taught. Consequently, we found ourselves surrendering to defeat easily whenever confronted with the teachings of the Watchtower.
Despite our compliance, a part of us always recognized that certain aspects didn't sit right. Yet, we were presented with biblical and modern-day examples of the consequences that befell those who dared to question or voice their concerns.
Our faith instilled in us the belief that Jehovah God would rectify all injustices during the day of reckoning. Thus, we kept our doubts suppressed and obediently followed the organization's rules. However, as time passed and the teachings continued to change, we found solace in discussing our disagreements privately amongst ourselves. We gradually began to question the organization's teachings and the rigidity with which we were expected to adhere.
One particularly perplexing change was related to the teaching on 1914. Throughout our lives, we were taught that we would never have to worry about growing old because the end was imminent. However, with this shift in doctrine, we felt left bewildered and uncertain about our future.
In this section of the website, we aim to shed light on the various fears experienced by Jehovah's Witnesses. We will continuously add video content associated with these topics to provide a deeper understanding of how these fears manifest within the framework of this religious belief system. We invite you to revisit this section regularly to explore these issues in more detail and gain insight into the challenges faced by Jehovah's Witnesses in relation to their fears and phobias.
